Wembanyama and Stephon Castle in Spurs win

The Spurs win in San Francisco was more than just another victory. Victor Wembanyama’s dominance set the tone early, and the Warriors had no answers. Yankee Scores reports.

Wembanyama’s Monster Night

Victor Wembanyama delivered 41 points and 18 rebounds in the Spurs’ win, marking his second straight 40-point game. He shot 16 of 22 from the field and blocked three shots, showing why he’s already one of the league’s most feared players. “We wanted to come out strong and keep the streak alive,” Wembanyama said, and San Antonio did exactly that in their 127-113 victory.

Spurs Keep Rolling

San Antonio (58-18) extended its winning streak to 10 games and has now won 15 of its last 16. The Spurs jumped out to a 17-3 lead behind Wembanyama’s early scoring burst and never looked back. De’Aaron Fox added 11 points despite briefly leaving after taking a shot to the face, while seven Spurs finished in double figures.

Warriors Without Curry

Golden State struggled again without Stephen Curry, who missed his 26th consecutive game due to a knee injury. Nate Williams scored 18 points, LJ Cryer matched his career high with 17, and Brandin Podziemski added 14. Seth Curry chipped in 12 off the bench in his second game back, but the Warriors couldn’t slow down the Spurs win.

Playoff Race Heats Up

The Spurs remain just two games behind the Thunder for the top seed in the West. Meanwhile, the Warriors continue to battle injuries, with Curry’s return still uncertain. Coach Steve Kerr noted Curry will scrimmage again before being re-evaluated this weekend.

San Antonio now heads to Los Angeles to face the Clippers on Thursday, while Golden State hosts Cleveland. With the postseason approaching, the Spurs win highlights Wembanyama’s rise and the team’s push for the No. 1 seed.
