Aaron Judge disclosed that the stress fracture in his rib resulted from diving to catch a ball in April and he endured pain during play for more than one month until the pain could not be tolerated anymore in Sacramento, Yankeee Scores reports.

Three times AL MVP, Aaron Judge, declined to talk about his probable time of return. The Yankees revealed last Thursday evening that he would go through reimaging in four to six weeks before taking any further action.

They are expecting his return to the game in the same season.

ESPN reports that Judge had gone through X-ray, CT scan, and MRI tests this week.

He was examined by Dr. Gregory Pearl, a thoracic outlet syndrome expert. The doctor maintained that he had never suspected thoracic outlet syndrome as it would have meant an end to his career for the rest of the season.

According to Judge, the bone bruise exists “in the same area” that had suffered a stress fracture during Judge’s chase for the ball during September 2019. Judge sustained this injury throughout the rest of the season but was only discovered to have it in March 2020. Judge never missed any games since the season was postponed due to COVID-19.

Aaron Boone stated that Judge would be sidelined for baseball activities temporarily.
