The Philadelphia Phillies beat the San Diego Padres 6-4 to complete a full sweep across all six encounters this season, Yankee Scores reports…..
Phillies Keep Winning
Phillies faced the Padres six times this season and not one loss. A complete sweep with Thursday’s result ending in 6-4, in favor of Philadelphia.
It wasn’t a lucky win either. Philadelphia played good and clean basketball, recording ten hits and no errors. A brilliant performance all round.

Wheeler Shut the Padres Down
Zack Wheeler was the best player on the field. The Phillies pitcher threw seven innings and struck out eight batters. He was in control all through the game.
At the other side, San Diego’s Lucas Giolito was having an off day. He was pulled after four innings having already given up six hits and three runs.

Team Effort
Everyone on the Phillies team contributed to the win. Alec Bohm and Bryson Stott had two hits each. Bryce Harper and Justin Crawford both scored twice. Adolis Garcia hit a home run that sealed the game.
The Padres only managed four hits the whole game. Close to the end of the game, Manny Machado and Jackson Merrill hit home runs but it was already too late.
San Diego Has No Answer
Fernando Tatis Jr went 0 for 4. Xander Bogaerts also went hitless throughout the whole game. Four hits against one pitcher was a poor output for a team like San Diego with big names in baseball
