San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested on Sunday morning in East Palestine, Ohio, after responding to an ad on a well-known prostitution website.
An undercover agent with the Mahoning Valley Human Trafficking Task Force posted the ad, and York made arrangements to meet for sex for $140, court documents say.

Per ESPN, he was arrested at the Wheat Hill Mobile Home Community near the Ohio-Pennsylvania border about 9:35 am. He was booked into Columbiana County Jail, but later posted a $5,000 bond
York who is 46 years old was first charged with prostitution and possessing criminal tools, the latter involving a cellphone he used to arrange the meeting.
Under the terms of a plea deal announced on Monday, the prostitution charge was amended to disorderly conduct and he entered no contest pleas to both misdemeanor counts.

York was sentenced by a judge to two days in jail, running concurrently with credit for time already served and ordered to pay $1,150 in fines.
The Columbiana County prosecutor told reporters that the outcome was typical of a first-time offender facing similar charges. York also tried to seal the court records, but the request was denied.
The 49ers organization issued a brief statement saying the legal matter has been resolved and declined to comment further.
The NFL said it will review the situation under its personal conduct policy, but no timeline for the review has been released.
The arrest comes less than three weeks before San Francisco’s season opener and at a time when there are other personal changes for York, who filed for divorce from his wife in May. He has been CEO since 2008 and majority owner of the franchise since 2024.
