Klopp will take over the mantle from Julain Nagelsmann who led the team to 23 wins, 7 draws and 7 lossess in 37 matches, a 62.16% win rate, according to Wikipedia, but still not enough to keep his job

The German Football Federation decided it was time to move on from Nagelsmann after an underwhelming FIFA World Cup campaign for the team where Germany was knocked out by Paraguay in the opening knockout round with a penalty shootout
Nagelsmann who won the German Bundesliga title and 2 DFL Supercups during his time at Bayern Munich was unable to deliver a silverware for the National side since he took over the role in September 2023
Jurgen Klopp will now take on his first national team coaching role and also his first coaching role since he left Liverpool at the end of the 2023-2024 season
Germany’s next tournament will be the 2026 UEFA Nations League in September where they will face Netherlands in their opening game of Group B before they go on to face Greece and Serbia
