Laremy Tunsil’s injured triceps is being regarded as an offensive line concern, but it’s more than that

The injury occurred during a one-on-one pass rush practice against Odafe Oweh when Tunsil came off awkwardly and grasped his arm instantly, per NY Times
He’s anticipated to undergo surgery and miss a big part of the season, a terrible blow for a player who was given a two-year, $60.2 million agreement just five months ago that put him the league’s highest-paid offensive lineman.
Tunsil is a five-time Pro Bowler who PFF ranked as the sixth-best tackle in football last year, giving up just two sacks all season. At 32 years old, Tunsil is still playing at an elite level, so replacing him is not easy.
But this is why his absence will cause a lot of problems for the team.
Washington’s 2025 season was ruined because Jayden Daniels’ missed 10 games, including a stint with a dislocated elbow.
That’s what Tunsil was hired for. Losing him now not only weakens the line, but puts Daniels back in the exact type of danger where the Tunsil trade intended to eliminate in the first place
