Defending champion Jannik Sinner delivered a devastating performance to thwart Novak Djokovic’s latest attempt to set a standalone record of 25 Grand Slam titles and advance to the Wimbledon final against Alexander Zverev, Yankee Scores reports.
Just as he did at this stage last year, Sinner put on a show of power and precision to deny Djokovic in his quest to match Roger Federer’s record of eight men’s singles titles at the All England Club.

Sinner failed to create a break point until the middle of the third set but saved his only chance against the 39-year-old Djokovic with an ace before wrapping up a 6-4 6-4 6-4 win, per BBC Sport.
Sinner, the first Italian to play in more than one Wimbledon men’s singles final, duly served out victory to love and hugged Djokovic at the net.
Four-time major winner Sinner will face Zverev in his seventh major final after the French Open champion ended the magnificent run of British wildcard Arthur Fery in his 99th Grand Slam match win.
“It’s the most special tournament we have. It means a lot to me to play another final here,” said Sinner.
“Of course, playing against Novak, he is a huge inspiration – not only for you guys but for the new generation – what he is still doing is amazing, incredible.
“We always have very, very tough matches. I’m very happy with this performance.”
